Muro 1.4.1 is live. The catalog now holds 51,362 colors from 35 manufacturer catalogs, plus 219 verified Colors of the Year and trend palettes for 2026 and 2027. But the number I care about most isn't the total — it's that every single color now has a source you can point to.
Here's the thing about paint data: a color name is not a color. A hex value is not a color either, not really. What matters is whether the shade in the app is the shade in the can, with the code the counter will type into the mixer. For a long time our catalog was a mix: around 34,000 colors, some pulled from manufacturer files, some typed in from palette pages, some standing in as examples until we could do better. "Some" is fine for browsing. It is not fine for ordering.
So we rebuilt it. 51,362 colors from 35 catalogs. Each one now traces back to a named source: the manufacturer's own file, a published palette page, or an archive of a retired collection. If we couldn't source it, it's gone.
What the new base actually fixes
Three things, and they matter more than the headline count.
The fake brands are gone. Earlier builds carried a handful of catalogs that never should have been there — names that looked plausible but didn't correspond to a real fan deck. They're removed, not hidden. If you had one of those colors saved, it may no longer resolve, and that's the honest outcome.
Values are the manufacturer's. Where a maker publishes an LRV, we show it. Where they don't, the app says so instead of guessing from the hex. That rule was already in place; the new base just means it applies to far more colors.
Regional twins are separate again. Dulux in the UK and Dulux in Poland are not the same fan deck, and neither are Beckers in Sweden and Beckers in Poland. They now exist as separate catalogs with their own counts, so the code you copy is the code for your market.
Poland: 10,552 colors across 8 brands
This is the biggest single addition in 1.4.1.
Dulux leads with 2,802 colors, and it's a genuinely new catalog — the full palette from dulux.pl rather than a UK list reused in Polish. Tikkurila follows with 3,319, then Śnieżka at 2,044 and Flügger at 1,392.
Below those, the mid-size and specialist catalogs got real work: Dekoral was refreshed to 324 colors, Jedynka sits at 312, Beckers arrives as a new Polish catalog with 189 colors including the Trendy 2026 collection, and Magnat holds 170.
That's 10,552 colors in 8 brands. If you paint for Polish light and Polish shops, most of what you'll be offered is now in here.
Germany: Sikkens, Alpina, Keim and Schöner Wohnen join the shelf
On the German side, Sikkens is the new heavyweight with 1,560 colors. Alpina adds 186 and Keim 264 — the mineral-paint catalog is worth a look on its own. Schöner Wohnen comes in as a small, tightly edited palette.
They sit alongside the catalogs German painters already had: Caparol, Brillux, Sto and RAL.
Four new markets: France, Spain, the Netherlands and Italy
The catalog used to be heavy on the US, UK and DACH. That's no longer true.
- France: Tollens with 1,569 colors and Zolpan with 2,965.
- Spain: Titanlux is the surprise at 4,101 colors, with Bruguer at 415 and Procolor at 359.
- Netherlands: Sikkens at 1,380 and Flexa at 397.
- Italy: Sikkens with 124, a compact catalog that still carries the range.
The Dulux UK catalog is unchanged in spirit and now holds 2,254 colors.
219 Colors of the Year for 2026 and 2027
This is the part you can actually use today. We collected 219 verified Colors of the Year and trend palettes — 170 for 2026 and 49 for 2027 — each with a source link back to the brand announcement. The list pulls from Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, Behr, Valspar, Glidden, Dunn-Edwards, Dulux, Jotun, Tikkurila, Flügger, Beckers, Flexa, Sikkens and Caparol.

Soulful Sage is the interesting one. The same soft sage shows up as Sikkens' color of the year in the Netherlands and Flexa's, and as Dulux's pick globally. When three brands under one roof land on the same shade, that's not a coincidence you should ignore.
Two small things that make the app faster to use
Search ignores diacritics. Type "sniezka" and you'll find Śnieżka. Type "flugger" and Flügger is there. Nobody should have to fight their keyboard to look up a color.
Paint matching puts your country first. When you match a color from a photo, the closest options from brands sold where you are appear at the top, with the rest below. If you're in Poland, that means Polish catalogs first; in Germany, German ones. You can still reach everything else, it just isn't in your way.
Before you buy the can
A new catalog doesn't change the oldest rule in painting: the chip lies, the screen lies, and your wall gets the final vote. Preview the color change on your own room in Muro to narrow the list, then buy a sample and paint a patch at least two feet square. Look at it in the morning, in the afternoon, and under the lamp you actually read by.
What 1.4.1 gives you is a shorter path to that patch, with codes that match the can.
The bottom line
