How Nostalgia behaves on a wall
Our estimate, worked out from the hex colour, puts the light reflectance value of this PPG Paints shade at about 52.3; PPG Paints's own figure may differ. At an estimated LRV of 52.3 this is a light shade that still carries colour rather than reading as off-white. It gives back most of the light in the room, which suits north-facing walls that need the help. For trim that reads as a clear edge rather than a smudge, aim about 30 LRV points away in either direction — under LRV 22 or over LRV 82. With 30 points between its strongest and weakest channel it holds a readable red cast, so it will not flatten into a neutral once it is on four walls. Order by the code, not the name, and put a test patch on the wall before you commit — a screen cannot show you how this shade behaves in your own light.
Nostalgia equivalents in other paint brands
The closest color to PPG Paints Nostalgia from each brand we carry, measured with CIEDE2000 on the manufacturers' published color values. Below 1 the difference is practically invisible; below 2 you'd only notice it with the chips side by side. Screens and printed chips aren't paint, so compare real samples before you buy. In the Muro app you can put two of them on a photo of your own wall and look at them in your light.
