How Honesty behaves on a wall
Our estimate, worked out from the hex colour, puts the light reflectance value of this PPG Paints shade at about 81.0; PPG Paints's own figure may differ. At an estimated LRV of 81.0 this is near the top of the scale, in off-white territory. It bounces light around a room, and it also shows every undertone in the surfaces near it — flooring and daylight will pull it warmer or cooler than the chip suggests. For trim that reads as a clear edge rather than a smudge, aim about 30 LRV points away — roughly LRV 51 and below. Its blue channel runs ahead of its red, so it reads cool and will sharpen next to steel, glass and grey stone. Order by the code, not the name, and put a test patch on the wall before you commit — a screen cannot show you how this shade behaves in your own light.
Honesty equivalents in other paint brands
The closest color to PPG Paints Honesty from each brand we carry, measured with CIEDE2000 on the manufacturers' published color values. Below 1 the difference is practically invisible; below 2 you'd only notice it with the chips side by side. Screens and printed chips aren't paint, so compare real samples before you buy. In the Muro app you can put two of them on a photo of your own wall and look at them in your light.
